I am having the very same problem while trying to do a retroactive Hotsync install from the factory CD. I get the error message:

Error 1316: A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file: C:\WINDOWS\Installer\palmOne.msi

Even when I tried to uninstall Hotsync/Palm Desktop, I got the same error message.

Anyone have suggestions on how to successfully reinstall or even a backdoor to installing the missing conduits (media, documents-to-go, etc) and components that are on the CD? This is incredibly frustrating
