I don't think it broke. I think it wasn't configured properly. He was having some very specific problems, like connecting to his wildfire service. He mentioned that his BB Bold has a T-Mobile logo on it even though he is on AT&T, which probably indicates that he got a refurbished unit. So someone at AT&T offered to set him up with a new Bold.

Nothing like hosting a national radio show to make sure you get good customer service!
