I can't believe there isn't a simpler solution to this problem.

I had to doctor my phone last week and I also had to do a complete erase of my profile.

In doing so, Palm apparently forgot what applications I had purchased and now wants me to pay for those app all over again.

I called Palm and tried in vein to explain the issue (I'm sure the person at the other end did not understand squat).

Her answer was to contact each vendor and talk to them.

I don't understand that, isn't Palm doing the collection of the money for these developers?

So far nothing has been resolved.

One thing did happen, I did a test for her and now paid twice for one of the applications and now have to call the credit card company to get that fixed.

Is that the answer?

I'm not referring to things they need to do to catch up but rather features (or innovative way of implementing known features) that put them ahead of the pack the same way Multi-tasking and Synergy did so in 2009.

I showed having 3 patches still loaded, but they gave me the IPKG errors. After checking again in WebOSQI, to see what was showing up, nothing was and... Most everything is working ok, as far as I can tell, but there were a handful of patches, I can't seem to load.

The patches showing an IPKG error prior to the forced update were, my Battery Icon & Percent, Command Line, andExtract PdfViewer App.

After the update, I have 41 patch's installed, so most are going ok. I was able to get the Battery Icon & Percent patch installed with no problem, but I can not get Command Line or the Enable Lanscape PDF view to load. There were a handful of others and I'll try to post as I find them and time permits.

I did run the EPR again after the update and still get the error. I even spent te last 45min or so running WebOS Repair Utility and it didn't find much of anything.

I have tried to install from Preware and from WebOSQI, neither show them installed or will install. Suggestions??

So, I used the Pre browser to go to Youtube, selected Classic mode, and searched. I found the video and tried to play it. I got the message, "This is a restricted video. It can only be played in your computer's web browser."

Anyone know why that happens? I can watch a video for "Dream On" by Aerosmith with no problems. I get the message for "Amazing", by the same group. Why are some restricted and not others? And, yes, I performed the Emergency Patch Removal BEFORE I executed the update and I am now attempting to reinstall the patched with QuickInstall.

Specifically, the Landscape Email and Battery % patches won't install - there are others but those are two of the most important for me... Do the patches themselves need to be updated?
