Then the button flashes "Signing in" with the spinning load icon for about two frames before turning back to the "Sign In" button. So either something is messed up and the program doesn't want to move on, it is getting stuck on something, or I am being stupid. Please help. and today it worked.

tcpdump, nmap, and ettercap worked on the pre.

attached are the screen shots.

i ran them using the terminal on the pre.

i'll spend more time testing the commands + look for more ipkg for network testing/security ,,,, it was fun and i'm excited to use the pre as a pocket network security Auditing/hacking tool.

feel free to ask me any question.

all the hard work goes to Optware team, i just managed to installed the pakages on my pre.

I worked IP security services for some pretty big companies. I don't think the security policy would ever remotely trust an arrangement like the one SplashID's proposing on some of the data I've got stored in there. It's not just passwords. It's social security numbers...financial trust accounts...lock box codes & locations...not just my own...my family's my friends most sensitive info. The amount of crap you've got hanging out in the wind...I mean come on; they've gotta be kidding. You just don't do that. I know the math with regards to blowfish encryption (and triple-DES AES). But if someone determined ever gets your encrypted data...they've got all the time in the world to work on it. It's just a matter of time. You've gotta be kidding.

I've always been a paying customer of SplashID. On every handset I've ever owned, it's been one of the few apps I've paid for. They could offer their cloud service for free... They could offer to PAY ME to use it; it's still a no-go for me.

This got me to thinking that a Pre App is running on the phone itself but in a way created as web application with close integration to the WebOS API.

Let’s forget security for a moment, which by the way I am not sure, will be compromised or not. Why are we creating Pre Apps and not Web Apps? OK I can see that Pre Apps like Internalz should be a Pre Apps but 85% of all the Apps I see out there could run on the Web as easy and may even run faster and have more computer power, more storage and larger databases. If I could run most of the stuff on the web and maybe have a very little footprint in the browser doing some Java scripting to connect with the Pre WebOS then we may be able to make some cool stuff.

Most of the time I am close to a public WiFi connection so I do not have to use the slower EDVO and when we all get up and running 4G then would a web app make more sense? :confused:

When i go into the app catalog to re-download some apps, most of them aren't there. it only shows 272 apps. i would like to get the zombie game back but it is not there, i really like that game, it get me through physics :). I am running Web OS 1.3.1 No i am not getting errors, i have tried via Wi-Fi or Ev-Do. I had to re-add my credit info which i thought was weird b.c it is not stored on the phone.
