I checked it out and have to say that I like it. It has animated Doppler radar, you can zoom in on it using + and - buttons. I would have preferred the "pinch" method of zooming but I can live without it. What's nice is that it remembers your zoom level. It also loads 15 (I think) images for doppler animation.

There are other cool features - just to name a few - it detects your location by GPS and gives you the weather for your current area, forecasts can be daily or hourly, it lists any weather alerts and also shows webcam shots near your location (although I'm not sure how useful that would be.)

Also, with the notification systems, I've continued to notice that apps like email and Concerts continue to poll for updates even when I've told them not to. With many of these applications not having trials, it's pretty hit or miss right now. Because of that, I decided to make videos of the applications that I've bought, so that you can at least see them in motion and make a better decision.

All videos have been recorded in the emulator, so there might be some slowdown on an actual device. Regardless, I still think it should be helpful for many, and if I have a chance to, I'll probably make videos of future purchases as well.

My girlfriend wanted a new pair of headphones, specifically skullcandy in a green color. I used dealert to search "skullcandy," and a week later it found a 60% off coupon. Got the $34 titans for $13. I know skullcandy aren't the best, but thats what she wanted so whatever. That was so damned cool. Now I have it searching for touchstone and eco-drive, can't wait til it finds something.

Iphone developed a great model, where people could add functionality for free or $.99.

Warp to 2009, where I am seeing $5, 10, $20, $30 Palm apps, that really don't do much. The psychology of spending this much is quite different.

If you are developing a photo editing suite ... you may get this ... but I have to believe that this is a psychological disease that should be treated.
