That is straight up ugly. Hope that is just a photoshoped concept. They should keep the same form factor but thinner. First the Foleo, now the Ugleo.

I think this is looking good. It appears "thinner" too. Should sell like hotcakes...

The only problem is, how did they fit the square screen into a rectangular display?

Interesting. Holding the pic up versus my 680 merits some consideration from this. I don't think this is a final design though. Yes, it pulls a ton from the 680 and Z22, but I don't think that this is the final design, its missing a bit of ergonmic goodness in a few places.

Still, interesting place to find a leaked photo, and very interesting time of year to find it.

It is "slim", has no antenna, and probably no touch-screen. Everything that all you guys (don't) want.

Also looks like there is no speaker, and I'm guessing that it has no microphone as well.

i would not buy a Palm without a touchscreen.. I really hope they don't do that!

Looks like the Moto Q but better lol. I love the design of the Treo 680 and don't mind the thickness at all. It allows a better battery and feels amazing in the hand. I have yet to see another smartphone that has both of these...

Hello, I am the Editor of Morning Paper. I saw interest in the "Gandolf" post, (which is a good thing) so I came on over to have a look at the talkback. I would like to very respectfully squash the idea that this or any other article we post is a fake or "designed in Photoshop".

I wrote for PalmAddicts for a few years before I decided to start my own site. I am a Palm Treo fan, and have enjoyed this community for years. There is no way I or anyone who writes for MP would endeavor to "fake" a post. I take great risk as does my source in providing you news of Palm. I ripped Palm a new one over the Foleo and he 700p MR update! But I stand strongly behind them because I believe that ultimately Palm produce's the best smartphone there is. (Until the iPhone comes). But, I would ask that you take a look at our site and see that we are huge supporters of the community. What do we stand to gain by printing a bold faced lie! Nothing. Of course you don't know that because we are new. But, Treocentral didn't arrive the monster it is today. It was once brand new, and it worked hard to obtain our trust.

I understand that these things bring out weird emotions in all of us, but I can assure you that my source is real and factual. Do you think We built that Sprint Blackberry 8830, just to have a go at Blackberry fans?

The Gandolf photo was blown up by me taken from a hastily copied roadmap, so that we could get you the news of a new Palm Phone. Not one, but two. Sprints 800w will offer a lot more than Verizons. Which by the way, we spoke about the 800p weeks ago. (note) At the moment, it looks as though Sprint may have passed on the "P" and opted for the "W". In Sprints words "Capitalize on Market Trends on Windows growth". Personally, I think after this whole Foleo thing, Palm could use us feeling a bit of hype about a product yet to be released, and that's what we intend to provide, because we can, and new Palm phones are fun to talk about.

Thank you for coming by and starting a dialog about a new Palm product that isn't a Foleo! But for those who are basically calling this Palm Fan a liar and a cheat, we will be right there in Q4 when the Gandolf is released. Please come by and apologies. We will graciously accept and thank you.

If it sounds like I took the Photoshop comment personally, well I did. I'm a fan not an *******. And I have far too much respect for the Palm community of which I am a part, and spent far too much time trying to create an enjoyable informative Blog, to do something as stupid as Lie!

In my book, any picture off the web is a potential fake (those are the times we live in). That is not to say that your particular device picture is fake or that you are a liar. Nobody here implied that either.

I do suppose one is permitted their daily dose of skepticism.

PS: As you have mentioned, the pic is a copy of a photocopy of another picture, which we (you and none of us) do not know if it is a fake...
