How do you scroll to the top of the browser page instead of manually flicking/scrolling through in the Pre Browser, or can you at all? In Iphone O/S, touching the top of the browser page automatically scrolls to first line.. is there a way to do this on Pre? It's annoying to have to scroll all the way to the top to bring up the URL box..

Just start typing and it will allow you to enter a new page.

This allows you to enter a new URL, but I found this solution does not help me with a related problem:

When I'm reading a mobile version of a book on http://m.safaribooksonline.com and I've reached the bottom of a page (section), there is navigation to go to the next section. Once I'm on the next section, the new page is still at the "bottom". The trick quoted above does not bring the browser to the top. It just lets you enter a new URL (which is useful, but does not provide me a way of avoiding thumbing the (somewhat long) page all the way to the top. The safari pages have "to top" and "to bottom" navigation navigation images but they do not seem to work on my phone.

Having some sort of gesture that would allow the browser to go to the top (and bottom) of a web page (like apparently the iPhone version of the webkit browser does) would be very useful.

Note: Hopefully someone here will post an embarrassingly simple solution that I should have realized. (Here's hoping!) -- Bob

there is a tweak that gives you the ability to do this ,i think its one of the one that lets you go into landscape , but i need to check it out first lol. be right back ha ha

The issue is going to the top of the webpage without scrolling not entering a new URL

The iphone lets you touch the top of the browser to do this

I don't see this in the current pre browser

It looks like Shadavis08 just showed us a way to do this (by applying a tweak):
I'll check this out (but not right away) to see whether I want to add this. With 1.2 hopefully coming out within about a week, I might just wait and see whether Palm adds/fixes this on their own (first).

I've mentioned this before and was told there is a patch on webos internals or something. I'll wait for palm to fix this but just for ideasake (?) ... If you hold the refresh button and then slide it up, it doesn't do anyrhing but light up then turns off when you slide up and let go... That would be a great "top of page" gesture.... Eh?
