After the update my email is no longer functioning. I get notifications that I have received email but on the main email page all I see is the account names - I can't expand the accounts to see my inboxes, trash, sent etc. I tried removing one of my accounts and re-adding but still not working. I removed all my tweaks prior to the update.

In my photos why is pictures I deleted in 1.1 showing up now. I got about 150 screen captures but before 1.2 I had only 50?

Tasks
• Properties Fixed - Certain properties of tasks that can be set via the computer (but not displayed on the device) will no longer be deleted on the server.

This is great since the Pre was removing the reminders, recurrences, and categories from my exchange based tasks on a daily basis; however, their solution appears to be that for any task where such a property is set any changes made on the Pre simply aren't synced anymore at all!

The worst thing is that this appears to hold true for exchange based contacts as well, meaning that now if you have a contact with a category and edit it, instead of updating the information and killing the category, it now just doesn't sync the new info. The info does show up on the Pre - but it isn't synced back to exchange, and any subsequent edits on exchange will remove the Pre edits.

For me at least, 1.2.0 just made editing any contact or task information on my Pre completely useless.

Is this working for anybody else?

I stopped the lockup while zooming in using Google maps by TURNING OFF the "Locate Me Using ... Use Google Service" option in "Location Services". Leaving GPS on(check marked) and all still worked.

Looks like Palm/Google has a problem there that needs to be fixed.

POP email problems still not fixed.

1.
If you have an email in the outbox and it errors during sending, deleting the email does not remove the email. The Pre will keep trying to send the email even though it is no longer seen in the outbox.

2.
Errors during sending emails still give you no detailed message why it failed.

3.
Using a POP3 mail server with an unsigned ssl cert is still next to impossible to get to work. Same mail server works fine on the Treo, iPhone, and Android phones.

4.
Deleting an email account, didn't work until the third try.

Application storage space is 253,920KB (247.96875MB if you prefer). People were only wild guessing that they would alter the size in this update. It is quite possible that this is going to be addressed in some other way. You can put a couple hundred apps in that space at least is everyone running out of space trying to install every app that exists? I don't believe it was a decision to limit app space but rather was a decision made at the linux level of things and was set by default by linux or by the team setting up linux for use by webOS.

For those that missed the previous reply or didn't read the update info or in it's entirety the feature is commented out which means that the comment marks need to be removed to enable it just like the add/remove launcher pages feature needed.

This explains the heat issue too. And describes more fully the issue.

I didn't notice it until I checked to see if it happened having read this. I can see how it got overlooked. Think about it you are testing all sorts of stuff to make sure that stuff is working you aren't paying any attention outside of said thing. It is also possible they noticed it and are still figuring out how to remedy it and rather than delay 1.2 for this itty bitty glitch they release it and will take care of it later. Not something to get worked up over.

swipe up to bring up launcher and they go back down. I had trouble recently with the swipe down working this past week.

Closer to full copy and paste. Needs some more work. You can copy the whole conversation using the copy all menu option and paste it into a memo and copy the part you want to forward. Or patch to add forward option when it is verified to work with 1.2. In the near future all the patches will be as easy to add as installing an app.

I confirm there is no longer a toggle. Not good unless it is auto turned off after exiting any apps using GPS. At least there is an easy work around. Perhaps we are overlooking a reason why it's not there?

I sent a test SMS to my bro and it didn't duplicate it in mine and also timestamped correctly. Have any of you been able to duplicate it? I'm guessing it is just a glitch. Reboot perhaps to remedy if it was reproducible and check again to see if it is still reproducible?

That's because whenever you take a screen capture on the phone it saves them in the DCIM folder on your phone and when you DELETE them on your phone it just removes the picture from being viewable in the Photos app. The picture (Screen Capture) still exists on the phone though. Just open the phone in USB mode on your computer to completely erase them.

Getting the same thing here. Hosted Exchange account (run by GoDaddy) is completely dead after installing 1.2. can't even manually sync. Its not pulling any new mail. Even tried re-typing in my exchange logon credentials. Anyone else having this issue and/or have a fix?

GPS switch is moved to the Preferences menu of Location Services under "Locate Me Using..." along with the addition of Google Service.

Definitely... I don't want to leave GPS on if I don't have to... I was fine without it on 1.1 and now it seems that Google has made things worse.

It always has been. It has always been saving both a png and a jpg whenever you take a screen shot.

The difference now is that the photo app lets you see both instead of only the jpg.

I tried copy and past in messaging. Using "copy all" it copied the last message in the thread only. I could not bet any other text to copy. I then pasted it into the "Enter Message Here" box and the copied text displays for a second and then disappears. What's with that? Doesn't seem like real copy and paste to me.....

Is anyone else seeing this?

Using mail2web Professional Exchange.

Not good... I depend on this feature - its why I have a smartphone to begin with.

Anyone with a fix?? Im running out of ideas faster than im running out of beer.

Yup, same issue with only appearing for a second. Open a new memo and paste. You'll see that you've actually copied the entire chat thread. It probably only shows up for a second because it just can't handle pasting that many characters into the SMS input field.

Very poor implementation here. So close to (at least) letting us copy individual messages.

Would still be no substitute to actually being able to forward SMS messages.

I'll be looking into that patch once it's approved for 1.2

I have to say, I am pretty disappointed in the browser after the 1.2 update. Here are some of the issues I have with it:
1) I am posting this using my pre. I'm sure you've all experienced the 'feature' that zooms the screen into the area you are typing. Great idea, except that when you're sentence reaches the edge of the screen, you can no longer see what you are typing. I have to double-click on the area to bring it back to the normal view.
2) before the update I could have multiple web pages up and switch between them easily. Now, however, each time I swipe from one page to the next, the page refreshes itself. Every time! This really bugs me, since I often have multiple pages up and like to bounce between them quickly. Now when I switch, I have to wait for it to refresh.
3) has anyone else noticed the scrolling seems to be overly touch and jumps all over the place? I will be scrolling up or down, and it's like it gets stuck in a rut and pulls to the left or right.
4) On the scrolling tip, the checkerboard also seems much worse when quickly scrolling.

I do have more, but I think this is fine for one post. I have been a pre user since day one, and it is these and other small annoyances that are really driving me crazy. I've looked past the build issues, since it is a first release. I completely understand the lack of apps at startup. I've even waited patiently for more functionality to come with updates. But seriously, what is the excuse here?!? We have homebrew patches covering many of the gaps that the pre SHOULD'VE HAD FROM DAY ONE and this is the update we get? Palm KNOWS what is missing, and what our hacks are allowing, and still they offer bs updates. Lets get with it guys. Say what you will about the iphone, but it is much smoother than this.
Sorry for the rant. Maybe I'm the only one with these issues. If so, thanks for reading.

The reload thing definitely seems like a bad idea, will see if I get it or not. Doesn't make sense that anyone would think it was a good idea waste data airtime like that on a card switch...

I have a pin on my phone, and earlier today when I went to unlock it the keypad for entering said pin would never appear; just the blue background. If I tried locking/unlocking my phone again, I would get the wallpaper with the 'slide to unlock' icon taking me once again to only the blue background.

A soft reset fixed it, but if this happens in the future it would certainly qualify as an 'issue'.

I also am a little disappointed in the browser update. When I switch between open web pages, the page is blurry for about a half a second. I also notice that it is the same way in card view except for the last page you were on. Maybe this is the refresh issue I've seen mentioned. I also don't like the jerky motion when you just want to go up or down. I understand they have diagonal scrolling now but its kind of annoying and it sure doesn't look good. I wish they could find a way to modify it so diagonal scrolling would be something initiated by a gesture or by a keyboard button but default scrolling would be just up and down.
