Are they skipping 1.2?
I got my pre just after launch day in the uk and honestly I'm getting impatient waiting for 1.2, I want paid apps at least!
Anyway I'm starting to think they are going to skip 1.2 altogether for UK and give us 1.3 with everyone else, any thoughts?

Yer looks that way matey, Ive got a one 2 one meeting with a chap from Palm today we are going to be talking about the Pre and that was one of the many things i was going to grill him on

Count me in. I keep getting updates for some of my free software but it shows up as if I have the new paid app store....
Hopefully by next week we will know, as so keen to get more apps on my pre

EU will be skipping the 1.2 update and 'jump' to 1.3 when its available (Should be mid-november) and consequently be on par with the american/canadian regions.
Not confirmed, rumours and logical speculation more than anything else.

im guessing this is why the palm adverts on tv are garbage. Basically with the 1.1.3 software theres nothing to brag about. No paid for apps, no music store and its riddled with bugs.
I can handle flashing my phone with the US versions but it feels like im using a broken phone as some of the features I mentioned which the US has, we cant use.
It would be nice if we could get some sort of confirmation if were being brought up to speed with our US counterparts

Nope 
Apparently broke down somewhere along the M5, got to have it rescheduled now.
It looks likely however when the pixi is released come Nov 14-15th, globally we should have 1.3.1 released!
Can't wait for the update, going to bring with it some much needed features!

im looking for better hotmail intergration (calender, IM and mail).
facebook calender! for some reason it doesnt appear up on mine , at least birthdays dont).
better speed and bluetooth file sending/recieving
blah blah blah!

Well it's not a bug, but I can't upload pictures from my Pre as that ability was added with 1.2.1, so that's a pain for me as a Twitter users.
Plus, I also use Classic, the PalmOS emulator, and 1.2.1 added the ability to hotsync via WiFi. Currently I have to copy my PIM files manually via USB. Another pain for 1.1.3
But apart from those shortcomings, I'm happy with my Pre

Cant upload pictures where? Facebook upload works fine, and the free version of Tweed lets you upload to twitpic.
