Me either and I'd like to know how. I think some of my past problems have been a result of some issue with the preferences files, but couldn't fix them. I have to add another vote for DbFixIt as a necessity for any serious Palm user. I use it more than I should have to.

I just downloaded the current version of DBFixIt and I was wondering if you could post how to have this application check the SavedPreferences DB. I could not see a way for DBFixIt to perform this sanity check on the SavedPreferences or UnsavePreferences DB. Perhaps I am just overlooking something.

My mistake. I had assumed that DBFixIt listed all DB files under "Other," but the SavedPreferences file is not there. Although the !!!!SafeGuard-PreferencesDB is there. I apologize for getting people's hopes up. Wonder why they don't show up? Maybe its too difficult or perhaps because too intrusive into other apps. I dunno.

Not a problem. I think the issue is that DBFixIt will scan PDB (database) files. The SavedPreferences and UnsavedPreferences files are PRC files.

Interesting. I figured since they stored data they would be database files. Palm's code seems so flexible, I'm surprised that it hasn't been able to master multi-tasking.

I am running version s2.10 b2.41

My Treo 680 has been acting strange so I was going to enable SafeGuard.

Is there a new version? The GoTreo web site appears to be down.

SafeGuard is telling me that my trial has expired. I was a beta tested for SG for which Jeff gave me a valid key. When I try to get a new key it also says EXPIRED.

Any help?

I had to uninstall Safe Guard. GoTreo appears to be gone indefinitely.

It appears Jeff Gibson has stopped supporting his software and closed up shop since he hasn't replied to any of these forums in about a year. What a fraud...not even an announcement letting people know.
