IMO yes it is. It fixes errors by Palm in their judgment when creating the hardware layout of the phone. I think Palm is an amazing company but they're bound to slip up and i'm happy to create software to fix it.

Tyler, I posted this in the other thread but you didn't comment on it so I'll repost it here...

My understanding is that the Green button now serves as "Flash" and "Answer." My concern is that if I remap the Green button to be my Menu button, will Palm's logic override your logic when a call comes in? Basically, I'm wondering/concerned if the priority value you set may not be low enough to override Palm's programming.

Jimmie, it sounds like you've already got the app, so perhaps you can test this out?

So Tyler, have you settled on what price you're going to charge for this yet?

Those people at Palm are idiots for not making these buttons re-programmable. I already know what happened. We went into Agendus' button preferences and the buttons we didn't customize, it set to what it thought they were. Except they moved their locations and put Date where it thought Date was which is now the darn Phone and we could change it back if those IDIOTS at Palm would've put it into the interface. Now it's either reset the Treo & start over again or wait for Ludus P to be posted. ARGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok kid, we're at your mercy. Where is this thing posted??

Scott-

You'll be pleased to know that LudusP replaces the whole event handler it takes only certain keys and passes the rest to the OS as normal. the whole thing is in ARM.

more details tomorrow. regards, tyler

(btw, the app is ready for release, the last lines of code are in place)

You guys are going to be very, very happy with LudusP. Tyler added some nice finishing touches. Scott in response to your question, you'll be fine

It is the first app you need install on a 700p.

LudusP fixes that I had the pleasure of testing it with Tyler, it is a must have app for the 700p. Once you use it you can't go back.

I was using an older version that Tyler made me get rid of since he was finishing it up. He couldn't have sent the new one soon enough, I could not go back to the way the 700p comes. LudusP is a must have application, trust me.

I've got mine set up the same way...this is AWESOME!!!

Am I the only one that thinks that this implies there is more to this app than just a button-mover? Hmm...modem NAI hack?

It would be more perfect if it was sitting in my hands right now. I really can't stand waiting. I should have just ordered the darn thing the day it was available on the PALM site...

We'll coin a new term just for this app..."Teaseware"

More seriously, $5!? If you want to be nice to us OK, but this is at least a $9.95 app if I ever saw one. Perhaps have that as an introductory price, but bump it to $9.95 before throwing it up on Handango and Palmgear (since you only get 65%-70% of the revenues anyway).

A friend of mine got featured in the Palm Newsletter after putting an app up on Handango (since they power Palm's site) and got like 2,000 sales in one day for a Treo 600 app. You'll regret it if you don't double your price and that happens to you...

I installed it and it didn't really seem to do anything for the 700p. Can you tell what it's SUPPOSED to do?

TIA,

rjmoose
