Default Downloadable ring tones?

Does the Treo support downloadable ring tones?

Didn't see anything on the product page about this, seems like it should but couldn't find any reference to it.

A quick search at handspring.com reveals:

http://support.handspring.com/esuppo...sType=RESEARCH

Which says:

Wanna get the latest tunes or write your own music with an interactive tone editor? On Treo, you can! There are currently two exciting third-party applications that help you personalize your ringer: Primate Systems and iobox present: Monkey Ringer and popTones.
Creation Zone presents: Ringo.
Since these applications are third-party products, Handspring does not provide technical support for them. If you have questions about ring tone products, please refer to the third-party developer directly for support. These applications are not designed for use with VisorPhone which uses a different ring tone schema.
They have links on the page to these companies.

Question

Is there any way to have the ringtone different for different people in your phonebook? My two-year-old cell phone does this and I find it very useful, I know who's calling without walking across the room to read the caller ID.

Default Ringo

Hi,

Electric Pocket's Ringo lets you convert any Palm OS alarm tone into a ringtone for the Treo. You can also compose new tones and share them with other Treo users by IR beaming.

Ringo is free when registered via its unique SMS-based registration scheme.

More info on Ringo and other Electric Pocket products designed for Treo are at http://electricpocket.com/treo

Cheers,
Iain

Can the Treo vibrate? Some are not allowed to have ringing phones in a court room . . . some courts even have $100 fines if it rings.

Default yes, it vibrates

The Treo has a switch on the top that lets you easily change between ringer profiles - you can easily set one of these to be silent but vibrating.

The advantage of a physical switch is that its very easy to change and see which ringing profile is currently active.
