Default Asus Aspire anyone?

Has anyone tried the Acer Aspire, which seems as small as the netbooks but with the specs of a subnotebook.

My 81 year old father has the Aspire and loves it. He has now taken it all across the US, Europe, and Asia. For the extra 2 inches, I prefer my Wind.

The Aspire is excellent. I prefer it over the alternative 8.9" netbooks because the keyboard is superior. And the 6-cell battery is sweet. It does last around 5.5 hours.

Bought mine back when Best Buy had them for $329 (3-cell battery). I love it, serves my needs perfectly as a very small & light device that I use on the road for quick internet searches (paired w/ my cell phone) and running light windows programs.
My only complaints with the device is the internal fan is a tad loud, the track pad is sometimes a little sensitive and battery life w/ the 3-cell model is only 2-2.5 hours (should've waited for the 6-model).
Overall I recommend the Aspire!

Is it true that the Aspire has no Bluetooth? Has anyone used USB Modem or PDANET on it? Did you buy a bluetooth adapter or use the cord?

I bought a tiny usb bluetooth dongle for under $9 shipped. It sticks out about a 1/4 inch, so I just leave it in the port.

I use it without problems to connect to the internet with my WM6 device.

I forgot about those little buggers. Guess that puts the Aspire back on my list of possibilities.
