Syncing datebook causes reset
This just happened since yesterday. When I sync my 650 to entourage, it resets when to tries to sync the datebook. Any help or suggestions? I've tried to do a hard reset and syncing it again, and it works. But when I restored my datebook from a few days ago on my 650 and tried to sync that to Entourage, it causes resets still. Please don't tell me my file is corrupt. And if it is, how can I fix it? My only recent backup with everyone in tack is on my Backup Buddy on my sd.

1. Install dbScan
2. Launch it and choose "Other"
3. From the menu, choose Options/"Remove All Deleted Records"
4. Do this for both the PalmSource and PalmOne databases
5. Try Hotsync again.

Reset after Sync
Will the same prc file fix the problem that my 650 resets after every sync?

Check your Hotsync log: does it show a series of files being installed or restored rather than backed up? If so,then the action of your Backup conduit is incorrectly set; change its DEFAULT action to "Handheld overwrites desktop".

Resets
I checked and the handheld overwrites the desktop. I don't know why the handheld resets after every sync.

Many thanks Bill! This worked for me. Just did my Locked Cingular update tonight and it went perfect except for Entourage Calendar crashing the Treo everytime I Hot-Sync. Wasted 2 hours trying to figure it out until I saw your post. Followed the above and it cleaned out 3 corrupt files in my Treo Datebook5.

Calendar won't sync.. :(
I'm having a sync problem, out of the blue sync fails with the following error...
Outlook Calendar
OLERR:03-0010
OLERR:0D-000E
OLERR:0D-0004
OLERR:0D-0001
- Recovery Sync
Outlook Calendar synchronization failed
OLERR:15-0002
OLERR:06-0001
Everything else sync's fine.
I've done a hard reset and loaded stuff back on the phone, no help.
Any thoughts?
Steve

Is it me, or has there been a rash of corrupted DB's lately?

Have you tried changing the action of your Outlook Calendar conduit to "Handheld overwrites desktop"?

I am having the same problem only mine crashes on sync of contacts. The only way it will work is if I disable contact sync alltogether. If I do either "desktop overwrites handheld" or "handheld overwrites desktop" it still crashes.
I followed the above instructions usnig dbscan. It found one corrupt record and deleted it, but after that it crashes when I try to exit the program. When it comes back up it finds the questionable record again, deletes it again, and crashes again. Any ideas?

If you were looking for corrupted records, you weren't following the instructions. Try again.

well I dont know what the heck it was doing, but I *did* follow the instructions and it deleted one record, which magically reappears after the phone crashes.

Did you install the version of dbScan provided above (1.9c)? Did you choose "Neither" after you launched it? And then you chose to "Remove All Deleted Records", from both the PalmSource and Palmone dbs? From which type of db (palmsource or palmone) was the deleted record removed? From which PIM db?

"AddressDB, Records Removed: 1" and that is from the palmsource databse. The palmpne databse appears to be clean. Yes, I chose neither at the beginning, and used the version provided (even deleted whichever old one I had).
I still get an immediate crash upon exiting the program, and the bad record shows up again. Can I just delete all the records from the palm and restore from desktop or is that risky?
Thanks for your help.
