Exclamation PLEASE HELP! Can't Accept Calendar Appointments from Email POP

I have been trying to find answers on this topic on have yet to be able to figure this out. I used to have a blackberry along with my wife. Now I have a Pre and my wife still has a blackberry. She is always sending me email appointments so I can add them to my calendar so we can stay on top of scheduling issues since we work two different shifts. Since I've had the Pre, whenever I recieve this email now from her, it only shows the appointment items in a code format and doesn't give me any ability to save it or add it to my calendar. I thought it may have something to do with the POP mail account. I had her send the appointments also to my gmail account and it does the same thing. Does anyone know how to fix this? Is anyone able to accept appointments? Is there a setting or a patch to fix this? With the blackberry I was able to send recieve and accept appointments from anyone via email without any problems. Am I missing something?

Does anyone have any info on this issue? Can anyone accept email appointments from their PRE or is it something that I am doing wrong? This seems like a big problem to me, I just can't understand that no one else has nothing to say about it. ???

It's not you...it's not POP...it's the Pre. It doesn't see the appointment attachment as something it knows what to do with.

When I get them, I log into gmail and accept them via the website. It sucks, I know. I came from a Blackberry and this was a VERY handy feature.

Well, that is very reasurring at least on my sanity. As far as the PRE, this is another negative for me. All of the BETA OS and software issues and the cheap build on the phone are just about to drive me to a phone swap.

BTW, thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think I was the only person to have this issue.

The problem with me is that I use gmail as only a secondary email address. All of my email come through a POP account so I can't handle the issue the same as you. I have to wait to get to my PC to accept and go through the syncying process to get it to my PRE. Most of the time that doesn't cause an issue but when it does it is a big issue. What is it about the appointments that it cannot see? What type of format are they in and what does palm or developers need to do to convert or fix this problem?
