Default App update notifications in the AppCatalog?

Hi,

How do app updates get notified / if at all?

Do you have to manually goto the app catalog, find your app and then tap update? Or is there a central way of it notifying and updating all your apps as the iPhone does it?

i think it puts a red banner on the apps that are newer than your current version.. but could be wrong.. maybe that's just new apps?

is that on the app that's installed on your device? or in the app catalog? if the latter then that's not good as you'd still need to go and check every app you have every time just to see updates. Very manual and not efficient.

You'd have though that being based on linux, they'd at least have the good package management implementation linux enjoys.

use the Updates icon from the launcher. checks for webOS updates from Palm and installed applications from the Palm app catalog
