For what it's worth, by "basic" I meant that the main elements that contribute to the overall Treo design are pleasant to the eyes and are present in (the latest pix of) the 800*. The design changes that a lot of users seem to want make the device look like less like a Treo, imo.

But that's probably the minority opinion. I wouldn't mind if the devices continued to look like the 755p, for example, with aesthetic tweaks here and there. I doubt anybody else would be willing to go that far.

yeah.. I just wish they'd gone further with the aesthetic tweaks like they did with the 850...

I wonder how much the color impacts people's perceptions of these designs. Attached are images of the gray and the blue 800w's.

It's the gray that I dig. The blue isn't all that hot, imo. In fact, it reminds me of the Centro - not a good thing for me.
