This sticky is a very good idea, but some of the links above are a circular reference (e.g., the Wiki eventually brings you right back to the forum to search for whatever you are looking for)
I thought I would add some of my favorites/most helpful 680 posts that I have read, particularly targeted to newer users
BUGS AND PROBLEMS
General known (and fixed by Palm) bugs:
1. Palm is an expert at launching phones with bugs in them. Not so great at fixing them. However check this site to see the latest on what fixes are available for your model. Given how buggy this phone is, I still think it would be nice if Palm would offer a site where you enter your device particulars and it tells you what you need (e.g., something like Windows Update)
http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/treo680.html (daylight savings time, security, Outlook conduit, etc, etc, etc)
This is the US site. For non-US folks, be sure to check your local site for country-specific fixes (e.g., Singapore has an SMS and an emergency number dialing fix)
Battery life stinks:
1. Don't believe the battery meter, there is probably more power left than you think
DIG's top 4 tips for optimising performance (battery life) of the 680.
2. Ignore the sudden drop in % battery power remaining after you unplug it from the charger (currently unresolved bug)
DIG's top 4 tips for optimising performance (battery life) of the 680. (same link as #1, a great post)
3. Be sure to hang up the phone (press the red button) at the end of each call to avoid increased power drain (currently unresolved bug - GSM)
Rapid and prolonged battery drain induced by GSM activity. The Glen Phenomenon.
4. In case your phone was made before January 18th, 2007 install the camera update (resolved bug)

Clock losing time:
1. Some 680s have an undependable clock. Third party software can help with recorrecting your clock on a regular basis (currently unresolved bug)
Losing Time
FEATURES (Either new or were available on previous Treo versions but don't work now)
Get SMS delivery reports:
1. Option (to get confirmations that SMS's were delivered) only shows up if your network supports it, however, sometimes it still doesn't show up. In this case you might still get delivery reports on new SMS's, rather than replies to SMS's
Have 680 in my hand... here is what i think (not really an answer, just a confirmation of the problem)
Get call log to show duration of call
1. A hack is available to enable the phone to show the call duration on models where the call log does not show the duration of the call (not all phones seem to have this problem)
call duration: is there a solution? (see post #9 to link to a hack to get duration enabled, or post #40 for the hack without linking to the German site)
Turn the service light (LED) on
1. If you want the light in the top left corner to function as it does on the 650, there is a program that does this. Warning, don't forget how much effort you have already probably put into
extending battery life
Service LED brings back flashing LED for in-service
Display favorites in an easier to navigate way
1. For those who prefer two columns of favorites and ability to move left/right versus the single vertical list of the 680
(I haven't seen any solution to this yet, please tell me if you have and I missed it)
MAJOR OVERHAULS
Custom ROM update
1. If you are ready to trash the ROM on your device and go with something designed by users here, here you go (beware: like most things, there are risks to doing this, advanced users only)

ADVICE AND SUGGESTIONS
Suggestions for Palm from Treo users
1. These range from the insightful to the truly specific to one crazy freak ("I am an Austalian bushman that will soon be frozen alive and thawed out in 200 years. Palm should have these 10 features that I need")
let's help Palm with their next ROM update: List of all issues on the 680
2. My personal wish: a way to stop the phone from vibrating and making a racket when an sms comes in during a call. Happens a lot and other caller always asks "what the heck just happened?"
Upgrading from one model to another
1. Don't just sync new phone to computer. Best to start from scratch to avoid all kinds of clutter and conflicts that will be hard to track down later
