Default Assign Application to UP and/or DOWN on 680 5-Way

I would like to add an application to the UP and the DOWN of my 680 5-way.

I can't find any way to do it natively.

LudasP doesn't seem to mention the UP or DOWN of the 5-way.

Has anyone been able to reassign the 5-Way UP and DOWN?

Ooops .. I re-read your post and you mean the 5 way and not the side buttons. Yes I have mentioned that before - but that was a feature of the phone app on the 600. The 680 now uses tabs and I wish Palm still allowed you to reassign them also.

It can be done. I just tested Hi-Launcher in this regard, and it let me assign its Menu trigger to 5-way UP.

That's pretty cool; I didn't know I could do that. I think I'm going to reassign the trigger to a press-and-hold of 5-way right.

It's unclear whether anyone's tested ButtonsEx on the 680. Apparently, it worked on the 650.

Reporting back:

ButtonsEx does not work to reassign the UP or DOWN of the 5-way on the T680...

I should say, the 650 version doesn't work on the 680.
