Since it is not listed, I doubt it is included.

According to the install page, you can run the update from an SD card.

Lucky you, I'm on the road until Wednesday
Of course by then I'll know whether I should actually use the update

Well, I am running the update again since it doesn't appear to have taken the first time. It rand for 18 minutes and said Update Complete, click Finish to exit.
I did so then checked the Phone Info and it still said 1.08. Hmmmmm.

from the sd card instructions....

This is the final screen of the update process. Ensure the charger is still plugged into the Treo 680.
The Treo 700p will then reset multiple times, and the Palm logo will appear onscreen. Allow the unit to reset until the language selection screen ("Press Center button for English) appears. Press Center to select English.

Treo shows 'ROM Updater' screen
Has the following screen during the 'Executing Update' phase:
Welcome to the Device Updater
ROM Build: 1108
Built May 22 2007 15:34:13
SD Card VolRefNum: 0x0002
Board ID: VENT

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DEVICE IS PLUGGED INTO A CHARGER!
CheckLowRiderDeviceVersion: does not start with part type set to dulPartMSysLow
You all have this as well?

Well, it finished. The numbers have changed on the Software, and it seems to be faster when switching between apps. Don't have my BT headset w/me so I can't check that. I like that all my data and programs are still there, even the 755p apps I installed came back (unless they came w/ the update). Anybody else notice any differences?

just did my update. Ptunes still stutters when switching between applications.
Never had a lag problem so no improvement there.
Time to dig out my BT headset and see if it can keep the connection.
