Default Best skins ever vs. Invisible Shield

has anyone ever used BSE? I know the IS is very nice (i have it on my ipod) and many treo users have used it. people over in the ipod forums claim that it is exactly the same as the IS.

BSE- $7.00
IS- $25

Never heard of them. Do you have a link where to read up on them?

yup, that is the correct link. i sent them an email earlier today asking if the sides were covered and this is how they responded:

Hello Allen,

The Treo 700w Total body skin does cover the sides of the phone. We
have updated the product page to reflect this. Please accept our
apology for the confusion.

Thank you for your interest. Please let us know if there is anything
else we can do for you. We look forward to serving you in the future.

Best Regards,

BestSkinsEver.com

very quick and professional. i think i'm going to give it a shot.

For $7, why not? I have and like IS but I dread having to reapply if I need a replacement phone. I'd rather replace as I would a screen saver.

Exactly, for $7 why not. I just ordered one. I'll report back when I get it.

I received my BSE yesterday, but haven't installed it yet because I got a replacement coming from VZW tomorrow. I'll put them on then and report back on how they look.

i can vouch for bse...i was prob one of the first to order the 700 from them cuz i knew that they used the same supplier as IS...the only difference is the cut...obivously with two diff companies...they will cut it diff but the treo 700 from bse is awesome...i have the IS on my ipod and the bse on my 700...and i cant tell the difference in terms of feel and durability (both are "scratch resistent)...and since theres really no point in getting a lifetime guarentee on a product like this...save 2/3 the cost and go with bse...

just installed mine. very happy. cant tell the difference between it and the IS. i do like how it covers the entire side unlike the IS. only problem is that mine did not ship with the bottom piece. i can see the imprint of the cutout but no piece. just emailed them so we'll see what they can do for me.

Good report. I'll probably order one later. I'm guessing IS will lower their prices now.

I got mine installed today. I was skeptical, and didn't think it would make much of a difference when I first read about this with the IS. But with the BSE I though why not for $8 shipped. They are great! The only part I didn't like was the screen protector. I ended up ripping that off. It had a couple liquid spots that were bugging me, even with the screen on. And trying to drag a stylus across it was like dragging it through mud. I love the body skins though. Really fantastic stuff.

yea, i didnt install the screen protector because i thought it would be a little too "tacky." they shipped me an entire new set via usps priority mail free of charge since my bottom piece was missing.

No, I don't think either of them do.

how does it work for the keyboard? Does it cover the keys, or goes around them?

It doesn't cover any of the keys. On the front the only parts covered are the screen and the upper area around the speaker.
