Will Treo 750v suppport HSDPA ?

It's clearly stated in this link that the 750v will support HSDPA by a future software upgrade. Can we believe this?
A major service provider is rolling out a HSDPA network (3.5G)in my area right now!

I would expect the Cingular version to be HSDPA capable, but who knows.

does voda even support HSDPA? I think when it comes to cingular, it'll have the HSDPA update applied out of the box.

Yes, they do. They sell a laptop card using it, and they sell the Vodafone 1605 (HTC TyTN) using it too. Its odd they did not enable it, but without flat-rate data it doesn't really make much of a difference. Its financially impossible to stream a movie for example.

It is probably cheaper to buy out Vodafone's contract,unlock the Treo and pay for a T-mobile unlimited (2GB) contract than to pay Vodafone £90 per month to stream movies!
I only browse the web,read email and download the odd mp3 and I hit 1.4GB per month!

My first phone bill from coming back from a weekend in Rome just came, and it was £90! I had been using GPRS roaming there, and downloaded maybe 10 MB over 4 days. Big mistake. Thanks for nothing Vodafone.

From memory, they do you for a tenner a meg if you're not roaming on one of their preferred partner networks, four quid if you are.

After reading this, maybe US people will not complain about Verizon's or Cingular's data rates ever again!! $40 a month is way better than $170(I'm assuming £90 will come out close to that, using a converter) a month!!

I pay $20 for mine, and granted it ain't faster than EDGE on my 650, but it's $20 per month for unlimited net and I ain't complaining one bit

Mind you that is what he paid while roaming in another country so not on his normal plan..
But in general the data plans in the US are better..
Voice plans are probably better in europe. for starters you dont have to pay for incomming calls over here..
