I'll get one as soon as it comes out. It's time for a new phone. This SLVR just isn't cutting it any longer and I've only had it for 6 months.

I would be so dissappointed if the 800 didn't come with atleast wifi/gps, but I know exactly what cody is talking about. It's been like forever & a day since the 700wx came out so i'm pretty sure I would get the 800 as soon as it comes out even though I did vote for gps/wifi.

With the free Pocket Informant 2007 and the beta version of Splash Money for PPC, I'm ready to make the switch!

I responded "maybe"...it really comes down to the 800w or the iPhone2, whichever is better.

An 800W with WiFi + GPS + GSM chispet would be the ultimate phone IMHO. Better than the Blackberry 8830.

Maybe, waiting to see what other phones are available when it is released.
I don't like the square screen and the bluetooth on the 700wx. I also don't like that I cannot use voice commands over my bluetooth headset.
When the 800w comes out I'm more than likely will get the Touch.

With BT 2.0 hopefully much improved implementation over what is on the WX. The current BT drop out is better on my WX after the update but still occurs at the worst possible moment and drives me crazy.
As longs as it otherwise performs the same or better I am trying the day it is out.

80+MB Free RAM after hard reset?
GPS?
320x320?
I'll be first in line.
If they start playing games and get cheap on the RAM (which I fear they did, considering that they're comparing it to the MOGUL and not the TOUCH), I'll have to wait and see.

Maybe...let's see it on the street, see what it's got under the hood, and, well...see if it works...
It looks dang fine on paper tho...

Who's "they"? I don't recall Palm comparing their device to the Mogul or Touch.
Lets get something straight here: the Mogul/RAM issue was partially HTC trying to save money, but mostly - Mogul started as WM5 device and moved to WM6 very late in development
- HTC was then unfamiliar with the new WM6 mem requirements, hence the original Touch's low memory too
Sprint has said exactly the above (in their Buzz about Wireless forums) and that they won't repeat the mistake, which is why the new Touch has 128 mem (and all new HTC devices)--in other words, it's all but guaranteed that the 800w will have at least 128mb of RAM and I would not doubt more, as this is 100% the "ultra-tier" Treo we've been hearing about when Colligan mentioned it about 18 months ago.
I feel very confident that these are the specs: - 320x320
- GPS
- Wifi (confirmed)
- 128 RAM (possibly 256)
- 256 ROM
