GSM Treo Pro: no call waiting when using bluetooth
My Treo Pro has a serious bug when using a bluetooth headset.
If a call comes in, on call waiting, and I ignore it - BOTH calls get dropped!
If I answer the 'waiting' call its ok, and if I press the 'ignore' button its ok... but if I allow the 'waiting' call to just ring off without doing anything I lose both the original call, and the waiting call :-(
I've tested this with several headsets now, and they are all the same.... call waiting is fine when not on bluetooth.
Palm support say they are investigating - anyone else experiencing this on their treo pro?

found a new addition to this bug. if you accept a call waiting call, then either call 1 or 2 hangs up, the active call drops. The only way call waiting works is to actively ignore (press the ignore softkey) the incoming call. I REALLY hope they fix this soon

gee, Palm should immediately fix this bug. It looks like so many bugs are flying right now right after official release.

BUG #1: When the bluetooth headset is on an active call and another call comes in via call waiting and you let that call go to voicemail you will no longer hear the caller, but the caller can hear you. To hear the caller again on the bluetooth headset you must turn off/on handsfree as a workaround (very annoying). Otherwise, you can disable call waiting until this bug is fixed or simply use the handset. Or lastly hit the IGNORE button for all call waiting incoming calls.
BUG #2: When you answer a second call via call waiting with the bluetooth headset active and you end one of the calls the other caller is dropped.
I received my Palm Treo Pro on 9/26 and immediately noticed these flaws. I have a ticket open with Palm. I've tried Jawbone I, Jawbone II, Motorola, Plantonics, and Land Rover bluetooth with the same drop call behavior.
Palms response was that they are releasing a list of compatible bluetooth headsets and to call back within a week or two.
If anyone finds the fix please share ASAP.

I've had exactly the same problems with two different Sony Ericsson bluetooth headsets. finally gave up and am now usig the regular headset. Can't be a carrier issue as we're in different countries on different carriers (I'm in Sweden on 3).

Serious issue I noticed when I first got the Pro. I can't believe more people here are not going crazy about this.
Not being able to use BT is a big deal..especially for business folks on he road all day..
Mine will go back this week if palm doesn't put out a fix.

doesn't matter. I have tried four different BT headsets and they all are effected.
I just posted this in a different thread, but I called palm tech support and got nowhere.

latest I got is within a week or so (as of 10/8). There are a couple of additional BT bugs beyond the call waiting thing they need to fix, and they're testing the patches now.

Until the fix from Palm comes the workaround is to make sure to choose to ignore the incoming call. Then you can either hang up on the party you are talking to and call the incoming caller right back--or just wait until you finish the call you are on. Not great, but better than getting disconnected and IMO better than disabling call waiting--at least this way you will know a call is coming in and be able to see who it is coming from so you can decide what to do.
