Talking Manila 2D IN ONE CAB! UPDATED! NEW THEME

Well, i want more people to get into M2D cause its really awesome and helpful with those shortcuts right on your homescreen.
Many people say that there is too much to install and too many resets to do and don't want to take the risk of installing and blah.

So i found this .rar that i extracted the cab file out of and decided to share it with my fellow Treo Users ^.^.

The cab will give you the Manila 2D engine, Today Screen Tab, Contacts Tab, SMS Tab, Email Tab, Htc Album, Weather Tab, Maps Tab, Programs Tab and a default blue layout that works.
READ:
This is NATIVELY SET FOR RealVGA AT 96DpI. READ BELOW TO USE FOR NATIVE RESOLUTION WITHOUT REAL VGA.

Instructions-
Install the Manila 320Square cab file (from gigasize)
Install 14.2D Maila Engine because it is the latest engine (REQUIRED)
Soft Reset
Install M2DC (Manila 2D Customizer)
I FOUND YOU MUST INSTALL THE BELOW TRANSFORMERS THEME AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BECAUSE THAT IS THE BASIS OF MANY OTHER THEMES I WILL BE BUILDING.
If you want to use this at native resolution (128Dpi)
Just download the HTCHomeSettings Zip and extract HTC Home Settings.XML, Go to Settings>Today> Uncheck TouchFlo> copy HtcHomeSettings.XML to your Windows directory Folder and then go and turn on touch flo and your set.

Here it is.
Manila320Square
M2DC_v0.29.235.CAB
14. 2d.Manila.Engine-Beta-0.09.cab
HTCHomeSettings.zip

Luxury Apps (not neccesary for Manila 2D)
For Audio Manager (if you want it):
Install these two cabs and select Audio Manager in M2DC.

05. 2D_Audio_Manager.cab
09 M2D AudioMgr - i780.cab

For Audio Booster (Really amazing custom headset output basically equalizer)
Install this
07. Audio_Booster.cab

For Big Task Manager
Install This
12. TaskManager_2_1_34837_3.cab

For HTC Camera Album (FULLSCREEN)
Install This and the paste the xml files in the zip to your windows directory folder.
Xml Files For HTC Camera.zip

I have to give "Props" out too-
Kraski (whom without i would probably not have been able to find the BIG cab. and his work on finding themes)
Courtez (who inspired me to look more into Manila 2D and get it working good)
Folks at XDA for their works and programs
Lancerz (for helping me get things right and sticking through when the 1st cab did not display properly at 128dpi)

I did not make any of the software so i just deserve thanks for finding it and bundling it together lol.

KNOWN ISSUES FOLKS:
Dialing directly from the homescreen does not work when you install this, but that can be thwarted by just pressing the green talk button and typing from there.
Double clicking the red button when in a different program while bring you back to the homescreen but will not lock the phone, instead you now have to hold the red button for a few secs (like two) but this can be done from anywhere.

UPATED: 4/23

Download the 14. 2D Manila Engine (FIXES PROBLEM WITH NO HAVING TOUCHFLO OPTION IN TODA SCREEN)

THAT IS THE LAST KINK I HADTOWORK OUT FOLKS SORRY. EVERYTHING SHOULD WORK 100 % BECAUSE ITSTEDTHIS UT OVER 2 HARD RESETS JUST FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CLOSELY!!

UPDATED: 8/15/09
EDITED THE XML FILE TO WORK WITH THE DIGITAL FLIPCLOCK WHICH NOW WILL WORK! FOR USERS SET AT 128 DPI (NATIVE RESOLUTION) ONLY!
JUST DOWNLOAD THE NEW HTC HOME SETTINGS.ZIP AND REPLACE THE OLD XML FILE.

SET AT NATIVE RESOLUTION OF 128 DPI!

UPDATE: 8/20/09

-1ST of all, if you would like me to port a theme for you for m2d, then just post it up here and I will gladly port it for you.
-2ND of all, some themes will cause your SMS tab to crash, BUT THERE IS AN EASY FIX TO THIS, just move your sms tab to 2nd in M2DC and this will fix the issue.
-3RD I posted up new xbox themes by me,enjoy.

Default Spot Reserved for themes

Be sure to download the new HTC Home Settings.xml to get the flipclock to work at native resolution 128dpi

To change any theme first disable Touch Flo on Settings>Today Items Open m2DC and choose the theme and then reactivate Touch Flo

Intimidating Red Theme (128dpi Natively)[MADE BY ME KOOLCDJ69]

To install just download the zip file, open M2DC, point ""add theme"" to wherever you saved the zip file and then apply theme.
This zip file does not have any HTC Home Settings included so it will work with RealVGA because it will not change your RealVGA HTC Home Settings and should work.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/wltiu4... Red.m2dct.zip

Widened up available themes for 320x320! Note- natively works with RealVGA, you will need HTC Home Settings if you are using at 128dpi.

More themes not made by me....Im like the only one porting the M2D themes to 320x320 hard to get them all done.

Yes I have tested this install method with my Treo Pro (Sprint) and it worked beautifully. WAY better than installing like the 12 cabs and resetting so many times.

No, I haven't had time to take screenshots because of the work I've been oding sorting out the latest versions of some apps. Iwill take some as soon as I'm donbe building a cab file for the themes LOL.

How big is this install?
I tried to dork with M2D but quickly ran out of space on my GSM TP. The old way after a hard reset and installing M2D on a fresh (realvga) system I was down to 10MB before installing anything else!

The Manila320Square cab file is approximately 12mb.
The m2DC is like 5 mb.

Shouldnt really matter as the Treo Pro comes with 300mb of space..

Can anyone confirm that this is possible or practical? I've always assumed that UI apps would perform poorly off the card. No?

I would be best to install it on the main memory than the storage card.

The version I used had some parts that never gave the option to install on the sd card. Does your installation allow for that or would installation force everything to install on the card?

Default Oh my fault

Yes i had real VGA when i tired this out myself then i hard ressetted and im using this without RealVGA WITHOUT.
All you need is the Home Settings xml for 320 320 at native resolution which i have and will post up when i get home.
But yes for any future questionsthis can work with RealVGA at 96 DPI

To Kraski; Yes It would allow for installation on SD card, but thenn EVERYTHING in the cab file would beinstalled on the cab filewhich to me, i would reccomend not to install on SD Card but i think it can bedone.
Still installing on device is always the safest to know it works.
