Thumbs up Pre: Solution to one Exchange (EAS) Sync-Problem

Problem:

When adding an appointment on the pre it doens't get synced to the outlook calendar. Adding one to Outlook syncs to the Pre and changes made to this appointment on the Pre are synced back. Even deleting is possible. So: No creation of appointments on the pre is possible.

Solution:

It's the automatic Time-Zone-Setting from the Operator. If it's set to "automatic" like here with o2 in Germany, it gets set to "Algier" here while daylight-saving-time (Winter-Time) is current. Changing this to manual and setting up the right time-zone (Germany in my case) solves the problem. From now on the newly created Appointments get synced again.

Post relates to: Pre p100ueu (O2)
